New publication: Simulation of the potential effects of changes in the management of bass fisheries in relation to a 40 cm MLS
This report briefly summarises results of computer simulations carried out to evaluate the potential effects of raising the minimum landing size for bass to 40 cm on landings and population numbers. Results are compared for scenarios with and without explicitly including discarding by trawl fleets. Projection results are expressed relative to the situation that would result from continuation of status quo fishing patterns.
