Cefas Science Advisory Committee
The Cefas Science Advisory Committee (CSAC) is a formal sub-committee of the Cefas Management Board (CMB). It has a remit to challenge and advise on science, and in particular on our science and technology quality: both to assure ourselves internally and for our external customers, including Defra. Other elements of this assurance include sustaining quality accreditations, publication rates and positive customer feedback.
The CSAC has an illustrious external membership and meets two to three times a year. It is chaired by Joe Horwood, in his capacity as a CMB non-executive director. The biographies of each member may be found by clicking on the individual's name.
The CSAC is joined regularly by Dr Mike Waldock, Cefas' Operations Director, and by our four Science Leaders, Dr Stephen Malcolm, Dr Simon Jennings, Mr Ted Potter and Dr Ioanna Katsiadaki.
