Host species: Pacific white shrimp( Penaeus vannamei ).

Date of first confirmation of the event: 14 January 2005.

Date of start of the event: 10 December 2004.

Clinical disease: yes.

Nature of diagnosis: advanced laboratory tests.

Description of affected population: marine-farmed shrimps (semi-closed farming system).

Diagnosis:
Laboratory where diagnosis was made: Aquaculture Pathology Laboratory, University of Arizona, Tucson, United States of America.
Species examined: 3.
