In 1985-1988, nine local surveys were conducted in the fish culture facilities of the Frenstat pod Radhostem Fish Farm in the Hukvaldy forest district. The surveys comprised clinical, pathoanatomic and microscopical examination of 49 fish of Salmo gairdneri and 56 Salvelinus fontinalis. The greatest pathoanatomic changes included a shortening of the gill covers in both species; as for the infectious diseases, the chars had furunculosis and bacterial invasion, and as for protozoan invasions the fish were found to harbour Trichodina acuta and Myxobolus cerebralis . Mortality due to intoxication was observed to be caused by confusion of Gramoxone with Gramoxone S.
