At the beginning of this year the first case of an accurrence of haemorrhagic septicaemia in Czechoslovakia was found in laboratory examinations in two years old rainbow trout bred at Nedosin from spawn of a highly graded up form of Parasalmo gairdneri camloops obtained from the Danish Egtved. The disease followed a typical course and besides other moments, a stress factor for its origin may have been a 6.5 hours' transport of the fish and their putting into a colder environment. The diagnosis was made on the basis of the typical clinical course, of a negative bacteriological and parasitological finding, of typical patho-anatomical changes, and of a positive result of experimental infection and histological examination.
