Five rhabdovirus strains isolated from elvers of the Loire Estuary during an epidemiological survey were chosen for this study. They were able to multiply at 20° C on cell lines from carp and trout (EPC and RTG-2) and were serologically similar or closely related to EVEX, another eel rhabdovirus. (Shortened abstract).
