Host specificity tests in the laboratory have demonstrated that Gyrodactylus salaris Malmberg can attach to and reproduce on species of Salmo, Salvelinus, Thymallus and Oncorhynchus. Inter- and intraspecific variations in host specificity and transmission capacity of G. salaris are described briefly. Shortened abstract.
