Abstract

Mass mortality in minnows Phoxinus phoxinus (L.) was investigated in the Vinje water system, southern-central Norway. The main clinical feature was the development of extensive haemorrhagic skin lesions from which a non-pigmented, fish-pathogenic strain of Aeromonas salmonicida was isolated.
