Histopathology Workshop
Cefas Weymouth Laboratory, UK: 10 - 14 May 2010
Following the successful workshop held in 2008, Cefas will be organising a histopathology workshop in 2010.
The workshop will cover several aspects of disease and pathology in fish and shellfish including:

Viral and bacterial infections under the EU Aquatic Animal Directive

Wild marine fish disease
-
Protistan and metazoan parasites
-
Histology and diseases of crustaceans
-
Histology and diseases of bivalves
-
Toxicopathic pathology
-
Liver pathology including neoplastic lesions
-
Application of fish disease measurement in environmental monitoring
There will be a number of presentations, practical demonstrations and examination of prepared slides. In addition to histopathology, other areas to be included are histological techniques, laboratory tours and "break-out" sessions. We encourage participants to bring their own specimens for discussion.
The cost of the workshop is £495 + VAT.
The fee will cover registration, refreshments, lectures and practical sessions, lunches and a workshop dinner. Please note that evening meals, flights, transfer and accommodation are not included.
