This issue's featured topic is sediment transport. CEFAS is helping a growing number of clients to measure and interpret the effects of sediment disturbance and transport. Our seabed landers have been deployed in a number of sediment transport studies for operators in coastal defence, offshore oil and gas and dredging. Fitted with a configurable array of acoustic and optical sensors, water samplers and chemical analysers along with varied logging options, these autonomous systems enable the accurate measurement of near seabed sediment processes in or near to 'real time'.(Download .pdf 254KB)
