Morocco mountain trek challenge

Photo of Richard Page (left) and Mark Rundle (Right)Two IT managers from Cefas (the Centre for Environment, Fisheries & Aquaculture Science) in Lowestoft are about to embark on the biggest challenge of their lives. Richard Page and Mark Rundle, from Lowestoft and Norwich, will be travelling to Africa in June 2006 to take part in the Morocco Mountain Trek in aid of Scope, the charity supporting people with cerebral palsy.

Richard and Mark will be climbing North Africa’s highest peak in a weekend where they plan to watch the sunrise over North Africa. Photo of Mount ToubkalMount Toubkal stands at 4,167m. This spectacular hiking challenge will take them into the High Atlas Mountains where the trekking is sure to be tough but rewarding.

Richard and Mark have agreed to raise £1400 each in sponsorship. The money raised from the trek will allow Scope to continue running their vital services, which support disabled children and adults in every aspect of their lives. Richard said, “I am really excited by the challenge and delighted our effort will go to support such a worthwhile charity.”
