Waveney Campus project: Tender notice issued

Offices and laboratory building to be built in Lowestoft, Suffolk

The Waveney Campus project has been conceived as a partnership between Waveney District Council (WDC), the Centre for Environment, Fisheries & Aquaculture Science (Cefas) and Suffolk County Council (SCC) (hereafter the Partners) to maximise efficiencies. This project has been proposed as a result of the Partners’ different but complementary requirements for new premises.

The Waveney Campus project offers bidders a significant opportunity to contribute to the regeneration of Lowestoft and represents the largest collocation of local and central government agencies currently being procured.

The Contracting Authority for the Waveney Campus project is Waveney District Council, which is seeking to appoint a shortlist of candidates with whom it will work to define a solution to meet its needs.

A contract works notice was issued on Monday 2 April 2007 in the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU), Document 2007-81684-EN:

http://ted.europa.eu/udl?uri=TED:NOTICE:81684-2007:TEXT:EN:HTML

It is the Contracting Authority’s intention to contract with a single supplier for the total contract. The Contracting Authority’s assessment process will be based on a multi-stage approach. The first stage is that potential candidates will be initially invited to express an interest and complete and return a Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (PQQ) response by midday on Friday 18 May 2007.

Further details about the Waveney Campus project can be obtained from the official notice and from the links below:
