New fish health training programme in 2008

Training course at WeymouthCefas has a wide reputation for being a trusted authority on all aspects of aquatic animal health and disease. Now the agency has developed a series of bespoke short courses and workshops, which will begin in 2008. These events will cover a range of fish and shellfish health and hygiene - related topics at all levels. The modular courses will cover legislation, and commercial and practical issues – including training in fish disease diagnosis. They are aimed at those operating in the aquatic trade or industry: commercial fish farmers, stockists, traders, veterinary practitioners, hobbyists and other interested parties. Courses will be between one and five days, depending on the subject. A flexible, rolling programme means that dates can be set to meet customer demands.
