Criteria for Accepting Alternative Toxicity data to support an HOCNF application (PDF, 17 KB) To relieve some of the burden on chemical suppliers needed to satisfy the requirement for substance toxicity data. OIC 2003 provided guidance on the acceptability of toxicity data other than that derived from the 4 previously recommended tests. The downloadable file gives the criteria that this data must meet in order for it to be acceptable under the UK OCNS.

OSPAR Lists of Chemicals

OSPAR Annex 2 and 3 are replaced by two new lists respectively 'OSPAR List of chemicals for priority action' (old Annex 2) and 'OSPAR List of Substances of possible concern' (old Annex 3). Their content is summarised in OSPAR Lists (Excel, 95 KB, updated 8 October 2003).
