These spin-off acoustic applications are used in fisheries management and integrated ecosystem studies. Integrating data from different tools and disciplines can often result in an improved understanding of the marine ecosystem.

We have correlated acoustic survey data with biological and physical data to identify habitat preferences and to assess species’ abundance. These established correlations help us to map large areas using cost effective acoustic techniques.
