The Cefas Applied Technology team provide customised information systems and data management solutions for the fields of environmental and fisheries management.
Many areas of our work require specialised Information Technology (IT) systems developed as part of the overall management approach. We have an in-house team dedicated to developing and providing these systems.
The team provide:

Examples of our work include:
- Integrated information systems
- We specialise in designing and implementing fully integrated information systems that can integrate data from various sources with GIS based tools to visualise and automatically publish information via private Intranets or the Internet.
- Fisheries management systems
- We provide modular systems providing a complete range of solutions for catch reporting, vessel registration and licensing, monitoring, control and surveillance including satellite based vessel monitoring and biological sampling.
- Illustrated data outputs
- Integrated information systems allow analysis of complex issues using appropriate visual outputs from a wide range of data sources and inputs. These examples demonstrate the versatility of Cefas Information Systems in environmental and fisheries management use.
