Renewable Energy
Reducing carbon dioxide emissions
The Kyoto Protocol (1997) set targets to reduce the emissions of greenhouse gases through the use of renewable energy sources. The European Union also promotes the use of renewable energy. In the UK 10% of our electricity is targeted to come from renewable sources by 2010.
Wind, wave and tidal generation of electricity are all key sources of renewable power
Our services

- Impact assessment of offshore renewable energy on the marine environment
- Baseline surveys pre-construction
- Provision of advice to international governments, the renewable industry and their consultants on the development of legislation regarding the impact of renewable energy on the marine environment
