(iii) Escape gaps - 1977 to 1994, catch rates and length distributions of lobsters and crabs in laboratory tanks off Norfolk from creels fitted with escape gaps of a range of shapes and sizes, off Yorkshire from parlour pots fitted with escape gaps of a range of sizes and off Suffolk from inkwell pots fitted with an escape gap. (iv) Bycatch - 1987 to 1990, commercial fishing trip from Whitby fishing the North Yorkshire coast and monthly charter trips during the winter fishing the area of the Bridlington inshore lobster fishery. To provide information on : the effectiveness of parlour pots; pot selectivity in Norfolk creels and parlour pots; pots fitted with escape gaps.
