Belize National Marine Litter Art and Innovation Contests
Belize Marine Litter Art Contest
The Belize Marine Litter Art Contest seeks to encourage children and youth to think about how marine litter issues impact the environment around them and what they can do to tackle this pollution in everyday life. The target audience includes young artists in primary and high school (ages 6-17). The art contest is an outlet for this target audience to unleash their creativity through various art mediums, communicating to their peers and a wider audience, why the marine environment is important, how marine litter affects the healthy communities and environments, and innovative ways to address this major problem.
Any individual between the ages of 6-17 can apply.
Belize Marine Litter Innovation Contest
The Belize Marine Litter Innovation Contest seeks to engage innovators and entrepreneurs and showcase their ideas for creating solutions to the myriad of marine litter challenges facing Belize and the wider region. Do you have a business idea or solution that could reduce the amount of marine litter produced in country? Do you have innovative ideas for how to process and reuse waste materials to reduce the amount of materials that go to landfills? Show us an innovative proposed solution for a marine litter related issue through a 3-minute video or a 10-slide power-point presentation.
University students or entrepreneurs over 18 can apply.
