A white spot baculovirus (WSBV) caused mass mortality in shrimp farms
on the western coast of Korea was detected. By electron microscopy and DNA analysis, the virus was typically rod shaped, 235x127 nm in size and the total viral DNA was 114.8kb. PCR amplification of WSBV using PRDV primer set showed that PRDV was homologous to WSBV.
