Rhabdovirus carpio can be shown first in the gills of the infected carp, later on in liver, milt, kidney, and gut. Incubation time is 7 days in water of 12°C. The virus can be shown in the faeces of infected fish. Carp can be infected by contact with parasites (Argulus, Piscicola).
