This article (in Polish) is the first report describing cases of bacterial kidney disease in brook trout (Salvelinus fontinalis) in Poland. Affected fish showed classical external and internal changes of the disease including pale gills, exophthalmia, and characteristically creamy-white granulomatous lesions in the kidney, spleen and liver. Numerous Gram-positive bacteria were present in the organs and there were histopathological changes in both kidneys and liver including numerous lesions, necrotic centers and degradation of kidney tubules and glomeruli.
