First isolation of Yersinia ruckeri from sturgeon, Acipenser baeri Brandt, in south west of France.

The isolation of Yersinia ruckeri from diseased sturgeon is reported for the first time in France. Treatment with quinolones gave good results and stopped the development of ERM. Mortality in untreated fish may reach 40%.
