Ocean Country Partnership Programme

In Bangladesh, the OCPP is able to support government partners with their aquatic food supply diversification objective for sustainable growth, poverty alleviation and income generation. This helps ensure more sustainable and reliable access to food, which can go into consumption nationally or trade internationally.

With academic partners in Bangladesh OCPP efforts are focused on strengthening local capacity to protect marine biodiversity, address pollution threats and inform the sustainable use of marine resources. By combining UK and Bangladesh scientific expertise with local knowledge, OCPP is empowering communities and decision-makers to safeguard Bangladesh's globally unique, but at-risk marine ecosystems, such as the world’s largest mangrove ecosystem, which provided hundreds of thousands of people with their homes and livelihoods.

Below, you will find a collection of resources, including published papers and reports, showcasing the progress and outcomes of our work in collaboration with Bangladesh and in region.
