Community of Practice
Launched in 2022 by the UK FAO Reference Centre for Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR), the AMR Community of Practice (CoP) brings together laboratory professionals, veterinarians, researchers, and stakeholders who are dedicated to tackling AMR worldwide using a One Health Approach.
The CoP provides a vibrant platform for learning, idea sharing, and collaboration, fostering global connections that drive real impact. As of October 2025, our network has grown to more than 180 AMR experts representing around 100 institutions across 40 countries.
Why Join the AMR CoP?
Membership is free and open to anyone passionate about AMR. As a member, you can:
- Learn from leading experts and global AMR specialists.
- Access professional development opportunities, including guidance on research funding, travel grants, and scholarships.
- Share experiences, insights, and success stories from your work.
- Connect and collaborate with peers across sectors and disciplines.
What to Expect
We meet virtually every three months for lively and interactive sessions featuring expert talks, case studies, quizzes, and member-led presentations. Our signature segments — “Know Your AMR CoP Members” and the “AMR CoP Billboard” — give members the opportunity to showcase their work, celebrate achievements, and highlight upcoming events and publications.
