Dr James Bell

Dr James Bell is a marine ecologist who specialises in understanding human impacts in the deep-sea, principally from bottom fisheries. His recent work includes an analysis of significant adverse impacts in the high seas of the northwest Atlantic, a meta-analysis of high seas fisheries impact assessments, and development of a small-boat deployable deep-sea camera. He is also actively involved in broader work relating to marine conservation, including large scale MPAs, and conservation measures for vulnerable species at ICCAT.
