Marie Hanin

After qualifying as a vet in France, I came to the UK in 2015 to undertake an MSc in One Health and the control of zoonotic infectious diseases. Before joining Cefas, I worked in fisheries policy and analysis in the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs. In my current role, I am the fisheries analytics lead for the interpretation of scientific advice to inform annual fisheries quota negotiations. I also lead the development of the Harvest Standard Specification that supports the Fisheries Management Plans. I have a keen interest in developing transdisciplinary, innovative science that can help achieve resilient oceans and productive fisheries.
