Dr Louise Rutterford

Senior Scientist - Climate Change

Louise Rutterford is a marine scientist with expertise in both terrestrial and marine climate change. Her recent marine research projects have included detailed exploration of the responses of individual species to climate change; large species data collation projects covering European seas; predicting fish species distributions under different climate scenarios and global meta-analyses exploring the impacts of climate change on a wide array of marine species. Louise has published research articles documenting and predicting the impacts of climate change on the marine environment alongside evidence reviews and reports. She also has applied research, management and delivery experience of sustainable energy, transport and food system projects. She has recently joined the Climate Change Team at Cefas where she will be summarising evidence of climate change impacts and undertaking modelling to predict the impacts of climate change on marine species.
