Water and Pacific Oyster samples were collected from an estuary in South West England during summer 2020. Primary identification of bacteria by MALDI-TOF suggested isolates were Vibrio alginolyticus, however, core-genome based phylogenetic analysis using whole genome sequencing data suggested they were actually Vibrio diabolicus.
