First report of human pathogenic Vibrio fluvialis BD001 strain isolated from Penaeus monodon in Bangladesh
- Publication Abstract
-
Vibrio fluvialis is a seafood-borne and waterborne pathogen of public health importance. We report the first isolation and whole-genome sequence of V. fluvialis BD001 from shrimp (Penaeus monodon) in Bangladesh. The genome of V. fluvialis strain BD001 is 4.8 Mbp in size, has 50% GC content and coverage 99×. The genome sequence provides interesting insights into its antibiotic resistance, virulence factors, and possible pathogenicity.
