| Description | This report describes the method used to capture the economic sensitivity of marine areas for the fishing industry. An application example is provided on how these indicators developed with the industry can be combined into an index capturing the long-term economic importance of the marine area for the fishing industry. The aim is to provide tools that can be used at the planning stage to avoid assigning areas important for the fishing industry to other marine activities (e.g., offshore windfarms) and therefore avoiding conflict in the consultation phase. |
