Sarah Alewijnse

Data Analyst

Dr Sarah Alewijnse is a Data Analyst at the Centre for Environment, Fisheries and Aquaculture Science (Cefas). Sarah joined Cefas in April 2022, and her work involves analysing and managing data on a range of aquaculture-related projects, primarily using R. Her background is in marine biology, and she has a particular interest in ichthyology. Prior to joining Cefas, Sarah completed her PhD at the University of Southampton and the Natural History Museum London, where she studied metabolic rates in fish. Sarah has also worked on projects on the diets of blacktip sharks, and sex biases in natural history museum collections.
