Premiam Guidelines: Review and Update - seeking comments and feedback

25 October 2016

One of the key outputs of the Premiam initiative has been the publication of the Premiam Post-incident Monitoring Guidelines in 2011. Since that time the guidelines have been a key point of reference across UK government and industry organisations and are directly referred to in the latest edition of the UK National Contingency Plan.

Nevertheless, it is important that key guidance documents are routinely reviewed and updated to ensure they reflect current best practice and refer to contemporary sources of information. To that end Cefas, on behalf of the Premiam steering group, are currently undertaking a review and update of the guidelines and are canvassing for appropriate feedback with regards to their structure and content. We would also welcome suggestions of any additional topics that should be included in the new edition.

Please send any comments you might have to Susana Lincoln (Susana.lincoln@cefas.co.uk) or Mark Kirby (mark.kirby@cefas.co.uk). The aim is to collate all comments by the end of November 2016 with the aim of publishing the new guidelines in the Spring of 2017. We look forward to hearing from all key stakeholders.
