Ioanna Katsiadaki

Principal Scientist - Physiology, Endocrinology, Toxicology

Ioanna’s research interests are multidisciplinary, including comparative physiology and endocrinology, toxicology and risk assessment, biomarker development, protein and lipid biochemistry & animal welfare. Ioanna is a Member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (MRCVS) and a member of the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) Peer Review College (since 2009). She has been acting as the UK representative in the fish expert group for the OECD validation Management Group for Ecotoxicology (VMG-Eco) since 2005 and is the leader of one of the four core projects within the UK-Japan government cooperation on endocrine disruptors. Ioanna has been invited to present her work in numerous international conferences including the Gordon Research conference on Environmental Endocrine Disruptors, Les Diablerets, Switzerland, 2010. She has extensive experience in National, European and International research contracts. Ioanna has published over 100 ISI papers (including in Nature Food, Environmental Health Perspectives, Environment International, Environmental Science & Technology and Fish and Fisheries.
